So this is what made me angry today...

I'm reading In Style, which I shouldn't be reading, because I said I would unsubscribe to all my fashion mags when Marie Claire did that whole fat-hate article www.marieclaire.com/sex-love/dating-blog/overweight-couples-on-television (actually I'm not sure if mag titles should be italicized or not so I'm not doing it, I was a History major and I graduated a number of years ago so I don't know how to cite fashion magazines) so I said I would unsubscribe, but being a lazy human, I went to the website to unsubscribe, and they said, o-ho, can't do that here, call this number.

Which seems okay.

But it's not okay for me. If anyone actually loves arguing on the phone, I have a goddamn ID theft case I'd love them to settle for me. And also: 1) I have social anxiety. I fall for anything anyone is pitching me on the phone, because I just NEED TO GET OFF THE PHONE. My damn ISP providers have me by the proverbial balls (I don't have balls) I needed to get my internet to work, and then they roped me into some super magical modem, which, to be fair, actually works as a wireless modem. But they talked me into it. It's pure strength of will that they have not talked me into getting a home phone line. One day I will probably have a home phone line, because of these bastards.

Anywho, back to the topic at hand,

I'm reading InStyle, and they say this "Baked goods have posed a problem for her (Tina Fey) before. A size 12 when she moved from Chicago to New York in 1997 to write for SNL, she put on more weight at work..."at a certain point 'I started to feel like I was increasingly sedentary and bordering on shopping at specialty stores.' So she joined Weight Watchers and lost 30 pounds."

Okay, so...
1) she starts a very high pressure job and deals with the stress using food? A note here, size 12 is a size below the average American woman, who is a 14. Because, ack, women, chocolate, ack!
2) gaining weight, for a WRITER is the worst thing that can ever happen, ever.
3) she has always been an amazing writer, and she was put on television, presumably because she was 30 pounds lighter, because that is what equals talent, not weight loss.

Note: I do not blame anyone for losing weight to gain success in their career.

It just bugs me that they do Liz Lemon eats crap food and is somehow hideous, despite being Fey's rather small weight.

But if I had a dollar for everything I got angry about.
